Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play an active role at Baby Gator. Volunteers read, play, talk, and assist in the classroom, on the playground, and during meals, snacks, and rest time. Volunteers must commit to at least 2 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.
**In the event that we are full at the time of your orientation, we will place your name on a waiting list to be contacted when something opens up.
To volunteer:
-
Please download the volunteer packet (Word document) and this Attestation of Good Moral Character (PDF). You will need to complete all of the pages in the packet, including going to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office to have a background screening completed. The form is included in the packet.
-
Once you have completed all of the pages in the packet, please email babygator@admin.ufl.edu to sign up for an orientation. During orientation you will learn what you will be doing while you are here to volunteer and what we expect of you. We will then schedule you to work in a classroom based on your availability and what we have available. Please bring your packet with you to orientation to turn it in and DO NOT FAX OR BRING ANYTHING IN AHEAD OF TIME, it will not be accepted.
Forms may be in Adobe PDF format. Adobe Reader can be acquired at Adobe's web site.
