Little Gators
(10 months to 30 months)
The Little Gator classrooms serve children from 10 months to 36 months and include one-year-old and two-year-old classrooms of varying age groups.
Little Gator One classrooms focus on the transition from infancy to toddlerhood. Developmental milestones are supported through a variety of play-based sensory, tactile, and creative activities. Independence and self-help skills are encouraged through practice and repetition (i.e. eating with utensils, transitioning from bottle to cup and crib to cot, and widening attention span and focus). Teachers create developmentally appropriate lesson plans that address general milestone and individual needs.
Little Gator Two classrooms emphasize social, emotional and language development. Twos are involved in a variety of activities throughout the day that promote 
problems-solving, conflict resolution, communication, and perspective taking. Through a play-based curriculum, they gain many opportunities to practices these skills with their peers and teachers. The Little Gator Two classrooms also focus on independence and refinement of self-help skills (i.e. mealtime routines, potty training, classroom helpers, dressing/undressing themselves, etc.) . Teachers create developmentally appropriate lesson plans that address general milestone and individual needs.
